In the first quarter of 2021, virtual fitness applications have continued to play a crucial role in helping Australians maintain their fitness regimes. Sensor Tower's data provides us with a glimpse into the performance of the top 5 virtual fitness programs on a unified platform in the region.

Fitbit: Health & Fitness saw a consistent number of weekly active users, hovering around the 220K mark throughout the quarter, with a peak at 238K in mid-January. Downloads showed a declining trend from 22K at the end of December to just over 8K by late March, while revenue also followed a decreasing trend, dipping from around $55K to approximately $46K in the same period.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike displayed a more variable pattern, with weekly active users peaking at 256K in early January and then fluctuating before rising again to 249K at the end of March. Downloads decreased from 11K to 6K, and revenue saw an initial decrease followed by a spike to $55K in early March, before settling down to around $39K by the end of the quarter.

Lastly, Workout Planner Muscle Booster had a fluctuating revenue pattern, starting at $17K and peaking at $21K in early January before settling at around $13K by the end of March. Downloads reflected a decreasing trend from 6K to around 2K, and weekly active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 25K and decreasing to nearly 16K.
